Went to two protests for International Worker's Day. The second one was infested with riot cops. They must have brought out every mounted unit in the city as well. They circled the protest with a police van blasting a warning to keep the protest peaceful or face police intervention. I left about halfway through to go see Harlow Road on tour but I received word later that evening that the protest had been tear gassed by the police. The police force is a truly vile institution.
